About
Alexis is a fine artist, arts educator, and art marketing specialist based in Manhattan.
Originally from Newark, Delaware, she earned her bachelor's degree in Art History and Arts Administration, with a minor in Fine Art, from Elon University. During her time at Elon, Alexis deepened her understanding of the art historical canon, explored various artistic mediums, and developed a critical lens for viewing and interpreting art in creative contexts. Her commitment to both art and art history was recognized with the Judge T. and Allie Brower Warren Scholarship for Art and the Edwina Graff Hughes Johnson Award for Art History.
Throughout her career, Alexis has studied art at several esteemed institutions, including the Delaware Art Museum, the Governor’s School for Art, the Delaware College of Art and Design, and The Delaware Contemporary. Currently, she serves as an Associate Marketing Manager at Christie’s, focusing on Modern, Post-War, and Contemporary art. In addition to her marketing role, Alexis is an arts educator at The Art Studio NY, where she has taught both beginners and experienced artists in Central Park, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and private residences.
Passionate about making the arts accessible, Alexis serves on the board of cARTie, Connecticut’s first mobile art museum bus, which provides arts access and equity to students from pre-K to 2nd grade across the state. Her artwork has been exhibited in various venues, including the Merge pop-up exhibition in Graham, North Carolina; MoMA’s 2021 Staff Art Show in New York, New York; and Christie’s Inside Job Staff Art Show in 2023 and 2024 in New York, New York.
Working primarily in acrylics, Alexis captures moments, places, and experiences through gesture, color, and perspective. Her paintings create joyful snapshots that reflect her unique vision and invite viewers to connect with her interpretation of the world.
Her work is part of private collections in New York, Texas, Delaware, Virginia, North Carolina, and Massachusetts.
